PET PORTRAITS

A portrait is a lovely way to celebrate or remember a much-loved pet.

Please feel free to email me your high-resolution photos with a description of what you would like and I will let you know if they are suitable. Enlarging a photo to suit this just does not work – some photos have a tendency to pixelate when they are enlarged and this loses the integral details I need to make a realistic and highly accurate portrait with true likeness.

Please contact me directly for your personal quotation with your photos and we can have a chat about what you want. Your photos will need to be approved for quality before booking a slot in my schedule.

Good tips for a perfect photo are:

Digital camera, or anything better than an iPhone 7

Fairly close up so I can see lots of details in the fur and reflection in the eyes.

Taken outside in natural daylight, but not direct sunlight. No flash!

No blurring as action shots can be tricky to capture a good likeness.

FAMILY PORTRAITS

I can create illustrative art from nearly any photograph and can also merge multiple photographs for a portrait. That can be adults, children, and pets. Usually a piece is for one or two subjects. More can be added but it’s best to not go too far, suggest a maximum of 10, otherwise things can get too busy.

I can make small, pre-agreed tweaks between receiving your photograph(s) and the final illustration.

All work is drawn by me, which means you get an original piece of artwork. This also means small imperfections can be expected, it’s part of the charm of ordering from a human being and not a factory or machine. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

COMMISSIONS PROCESS, PAYMENT & POSTAGE

Prices for an original bespoke portrait start from £75 for one or two subjects. Prices increases with complexity and scale. Larger print sizes, additional subjects, or additional background features that you may like to be included, etc. Get in touch to discuss.

Typically, I take 50% of payment before commencing work and I will email small, watermarked progression shots to ensure you are happy with how the artwork is going. Upon receipt of the remaining 50% payment I will either post a print or send you the final piece digitally.

Secure ‘Tracked & Signed’ postage within the UK is at standard Royal Mail rates, and worldwide available on quotation. 

Pictures are posted in A4 or smaller in hardbacked envelopes and larger in postal tubes
